The series: Nova Pangea

Nova Pangea didn’t just start as a story—it started as a spark of creativity back in high school. A simple writing assignment in my third year, where I wrote a thrilling scene, ignited something in me. I didn’t just stop at the scene; I wanted to know what led to it, to dive deeper into the characters, and create a full story. It was meant to be a book, but as I continued working on it, I realized that the vision I had wasn’t suited for a book at all—it was destined to be a TV series.

I was watching The 100 at the time, and it clicked. My story was more in line with the structure of a show than a novel. So, I started researching screenwriting, falling in love with the craft. From there, I began crafting Nova Pangea as a story not just of survival, but of humanity—of mental health, identity, and technology, and how those things interact in a future that feels more and more real every day.

Why Nova Pangea?

Nova Pangea is a story close to my heart because in many ways, it already feels like the reality we’re heading towards. While it’s set in a dystopian future, the themes we explore—mental health, artificial intelligence, and societal collapse—are all very real issues we face today. I’ve seen mental health struggles in the people around me, and it’s heartbreaking. But more than that, it’s part of being human—something that connects us all. Mental health struggles are not flaws, they are simply a part of life that shapes us as individuals, and in a world that’s becoming increasingly disconnected, I believe Nova Pangea is a story we desperately need.

This is not just a project—it’s a message. A message that it’s okay to have mental health challenges. It’s okay to not be okay. The first step towards healing is acknowledging what’s broken. With this story, I want to show people that no matter how dark it gets, there’s always a way forward, a path to growth.

The Themes

At the heart of Nova Pangea are two main themes: mental health and simulation. Why simulation? It’s because we live in a world where anything is possible, where reality and illusion constantly blur. The idea of using a simulation as a tool to confront mental health issues is both terrifying and fascinating. Within the simulation, we can do anything unethical and hide behind the idea that it’s “just a simulation.” It pushes the boundaries of what we can do in the name of self-improvement, but also challenges us to face uncomfortable truths.

The Characters

Each character in Nova Pangea is a reflection of the world we live in, with their own personal struggles that make them relatable, raw, and engaging. From Samuel, who battles depression, to Valentina’s narcissism, to Alex’s eating disorder, every character has a unique mental health challenge. This diversity isn’t just for representation; it’s to show that no matter the struggle, everyone deserves to be seen.

Inside the simulation, these characters face their mental health struggles head-on, but the simulation itself is a cruel, manipulative force, using their weaknesses to shape them. As they learn more about their environment, they are forced to confront the truth about themselves. The question remains: Can you grow if you don’t know who you really are?

The World of Nova Pangea

Set in a solarpunk future where technology and nature coexist, Phoenix City is a place of apparent peace, but underneath, the cracks are forming. The city is a rebuilt version of Cairo, the last place survivors of a world ravaged by wars came together. It’s a world of bright, cheerful exteriors with a dark and broken core.

But the true heart of the story lies within the simulation—where anything can be real or fake, where mental health battles become exaggerated and manipulated for the sake of “perfection.” It’s within this world where the rules are constantly shifting, and the line between reality and illusion is continually blurred.

Where Is This Going?

This is only the beginning. Nova Pangea is meant to be a multi-season series, with a vision that extends far beyond just one story arc. I see it as a sprawling narrative that tackles not just the consequences of mental health and artificial intelligence, but also what it means to be human in a world that seems to be changing too fast for us to keep up.

The future of Nova Pangea includes multiple seasons, a movie adaptation, and merchandise. I want to make it a cultural touchstone, sparking conversations about mental health, technology, and identity. The world I’m building is one that will continue to evolve, with deep and thought-provoking twists, all while staying true to the dark, nostalgic, and thrilling atmosphere that makes Nova Pangea what it is.

My Commitment

Nova Pangea isn’t just a project—it’s my life’s work. I’ve poured countless hours into this, and I will keep pushing forward until it becomes a reality. I’m committed to seeing this vision come to life, no matter the obstacles. In fact, I’m traveling to New York for two months (March and April) to meet new people, make connections, and make sure Nova Pangea gets the attention it deserves.
